You Can Order the Analogue Pocket Again on October 2

Analogue will reopen pre-orders for the Analogue Pocket on October 2 at 11am ET. Engadget The company will also reopen pre-orders for the Analogue Dock at the same time.
Pocket units ordered on October 2 are expected to ship within two weeks. Engadget The Pocket costs $240.
The Pocket was last restocked in March, when the price went up by $20 because of tariffs, or taxes on imported goods. Engadget It plays old Game Boy, Game Boy Color and Game Boy Advance game cards at 10x resolution, which means a much sharper picture than the original screens.
Analogue's store lists the Pocket Black at $239.99 and the Dock at $99.99. Analogue Store Its announcements page states that the Pocket in white is back in stock and shipping, and that Pocket and all accessories will be restocked and shipping immediately. Analogue
For context, Analogue restocked the Pocket on December 4, 2023 at 8am PST. Analogue Units ordered in that restock were expected to arrive before Christmas. The company restocked the Pocket again on May 10, 2024 at 8am PDT, alongside the Dock and the Pocket Link Cable.
Analogue's website also states that the Analogue 3D is shipping now and that 3D OS V1.5.1 is out now. Analogue A separate company note stated that the Pocket in black and all accessories are currently in stock and shipping.
Looking at what this means for people who want to buy one, the practical details are simple. The order time is fixed. The ship time is shared up front. The price is known before ordering starts.
In my view, the two-week estimate matters more than the October 2 date itself. A short, clear shipping window makes the choice easier. It does not guarantee stock for everyone or fast delivery in every case. It does set a clear expectation.
The broader context here is price continuity. The $20 increase from March is still in place for this restock. For a device that uses game cards people have kept for many years, steady pricing makes the choice simpler. Buyers are thinking about timing and availability, not a changing price.
Looking at the longer pattern, short restocks remain the norm. December 2023, May 2024, March, and now October form a sequence of short sale windows rather than always being available. That setup rewards preparation. Have payment details ready. Check the time zone. Decide on the Dock in advance.
Worth flagging for people who keep old games working, the lasting appeal is simple. Like books on a shelf, old game libraries can still be used if you have working hardware. Cartridges age. Connectors wear. Displays fail. Hardware that plays the original cards with a sharper picture lets people keep using games they already own. No transfer needed. No re-buying. Just continued use.
