Sony has confirmed that nine games will leave the PlayStation Plus Extra and Premium catalog on August 18, 2026. The departing titles are Bomber Crew, Clash: Artifacts of Chaos, Onee Chanbara Origin, Roki, Space Crew: Legendary Edition, Dead Island 2, Earth Defense Force 6, Harold Halibut, and Unicorn Overlord (Engadget).

Five of those nine — Bomber Crew, Clash: Artifacts of Chaos, Onee Chanbara Origin, Roki, and Space Crew: Legendary Edition — were originally set to leave in July 2026 but got a one-month extension. Sony did not explain why.

This is a regular pattern for the service. Earlier in July, twelve titles left the PS Plus catalog with a departure date of July 21 (IGN). Sony confirmed those removals on June 16, 2026, through the "Last Chance to Play" section of the PS Plus app on PS5 (Tech Times). Risk of Rain was among those July departures (IGN). In the same window, Sony added Psi-Ops: The Mindgate Conspiracy (listed as Psi-Ops Classic) to the catalog (Tech Times).

The August 18 date applies to all nine games across both the Extra and Premium subscription tiers. Engadget attributed the departure confirmation to Sony but noted that no PlayStation Blog post specifically listed the departing games. The article's only PlayStation Blog link points to the July 2026 incoming games announcement, not a dedicated "leaving soon" post (Engadget).

Harold Halibut, one of the nine departing titles, entered the PS Plus catalog in August 2025, announced via the PlayStation Blog on August 13, 2025 (PlayStation Blog). It was also featured on the Official PlayStation Podcast Episode 521, published August 15, 2025, where it was listed for PS5 alongside Coral Island for PS5 and Resident Evil 2 under the Premium tier (PlayStation Blog). PS Plus Extra and Premium work like a lending library. Games are available as long as your subscription is active, but they cycle in and out roughly every month. When a game leaves the catalog, you can keep playing it only if you buy it separately from the PlayStation Store. Your subscription gives you access, not ownership.
