Nothing's New $399 Headphones Have a Switch for True Studio Sound

Nothing has released Headphone (1) Pro, its new flagship headphones, for $399. They are on sale now in the US on Nothing's site, Amazon and in Best Buy stores. Engadget
The full name is Headphone (1) Pro. Nothing Nothing calls them its most advanced headphones yet, with the slogan "Studio-level precision." They launched September 29, 2026. In Europe they cost €349, which is $100 more than the older Headphone (1). 9to5Google
They come in white and black. They keep real buttons and clear panels that show parts inside, and use machined metal. They come with a hard case that covers the earcups. The headband is 10 percent wider. The ear pads are 50 percent softer than Headphone (1) and sit better with glasses. They are rated IP52, which means some protection from dust and light water drips.
For sound, there are three small speakers inside, one for bass, one for voices and one for instruments. They support LDAC, 24-bit high-res audio and wireless lossless, all ways to send more detailed sound over Bluetooth. A small switch turns off tone controls and surround-style sound. The plain, unaltered sound setting was made with Metropolis Studios, a mastering studio in London.
Like turning off a photo filter to see the original picture, you can leave the extras on for daily use or flip the switch to hear the raw recording. Most flagship noise-cancelling headphones do not offer that full off switch.
For quiet, they use 10 microphones to cancel noise. They also have a soft silicone wall that blocks sound physically. That physical block helps before the electronics start, with different fits and high sounds where microphone cancellation works less well.
Battery lasts up to 32 hours with noise cancellation on and up to 68 hours with it off. They support Auracast, a way to send and receive shared Bluetooth broadcasts, both ways when you use the companion app to choose.
In the US they are sold direct and in stores. Nothing says orders on nothing.tech get free delivery, 30-day returns, flexible payments, price match and warranty. V from BTS is the global brand ambassador, with an "On set with V" launch campaign.
In my view, putting studio sound and travel quiet in one $399 pair fits real life. People can check work on a trip, focus in a loud office, and wear them longer with glasses and long battery. The off switch could be the most helpful part, because it lets anyone hear what the extras change and makes focused listening more practical.
