Google's New Pixel 11 and Watch 5 Will Cost More Than Before

Google will announce its new Pixel 11 phones and Pixel Watch 5 on August 12, 2026, in New York City. Leaked pricing information suggests that almost everything in this lineup will be more expensive than the current models PhoneArena.

The price details came from French deal-tracking websites and were reported by 9to5Google and other tech outlets The Verge. The Pixel Watch 5 appears to be climbing by $30 to $50 depending on the model. For example, the smaller 41mm Wi-Fi version would cost $399 instead of the current $349. In Europe, prices are going up similarly — the basic Pixel Watch 5 model is listed at €419 and £369 in the UK Dealabs.

The watch hasn't had a price increase in two years, so this bump is notable.

For the phones, the leaked prices show something slightly different. Google appears to be removing the cheapest storage option — 128 gigabytes — from the base Pixel 11 entirely. Instead of starting at €899 with less storage, the entry-level Pixel 11 would begin at €999 with double the storage space. The Pixel 11 Pro is expected to start at €1,199, up €100 from last year. The fancier models — Pro XL and Pro Fold — also show €100 increases The Verge.

One point worth considering is what these price increases mean for the wider electronics market. Tech companies source memory chips — the components that store and process information — from a small number of manufacturers like Samsung and SK Hynix. Right now, there is growing demand for these chips from companies building artificial intelligence systems. This demand is raising the cost of memory worldwide, not just for Google. Other smartphone makers like Apple and Samsung will likely face the same cost pressure when they launch their own new phones later this year The Verge.

The shift away from low-storage phones is worth paying attention to as well. Over time, smartphone cameras and video have become higher quality, which means photos and videos take up more space. If Google is no longer offering the budget storage option, buyers who store a lot of personal photos and videos may find the step up to the next tier more expensive than expected.

On the watch side, new color options have leaked: shades called "Pyrite," "Natural Silver – Polished," and "Dark Anthracite – Matte." Regulatory filings in India earlier this year suggest the Pixel Watch 5 is approaching final production before the August launch AOL.

None of these numbers are official yet. They come from retail websites and industry leakers, not from Google itself. Leaked prices have changed between announcement and actual release before, sometimes by significant amounts. Google has only confirmed the event date and location — pricing, storage options, and colors remain unconfirmed 9to5Google.

Google's August event will confirm which of these numbers are accurate. Until then, treat the leaked figures as directional signals of where prices are heading rather than final numbers.
