European Athletics Championships 2026: Birmingham's week of titles, comebacks and the "race of the year"
The 2026 European Athletics Championships open at Birmingham's Alexander Stadium on Monday 10 August, running through to 16 August, with the BBC broadcasting across the week. Final entries were published on 8 August, and €500,000 in prize money is on offer for leading performances, plus the European Athletics Gold Crown for the best performer in any discipline across the championships European Athletics.
