Frankie Grande has publicly backed his younger sister Ariana Grande's decision to step back from public life after her current tour, telling her on Instagram: "Family forever. I will have your back until the end of time." Billboard

Posting a clip of Ariana performing "One Last Time" on her Eternal Sunshine Tour, Frankie wrote that he was "so proud" of her and called the previous night "a beautiful celebration of Ariana's artistry and the magnificent eternal sunshine family she has built and created." He also told her she is "my everything," EW reported. Instagram

The siblings are half-siblings through their mother, Joan Grande.

Ariana Grande's team announced on 2 August that she will step back from public visibility and appearances following the conclusion of the Eternal Sunshine Tour. The singer then addressed the decision directly to fans during her tour stop in Chicago on 3 August. The tour's final date is scheduled for 1 September in London.

The announcement came days after the release of her album Petal on 31 July. The album's lead single, "Hate That I Made You Love Me," debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 — her 10th career leader on the chart, which tracks the most popular songs in the US across streaming, radio and sales.

Grande's 2024 album Eternal Sunshine, the namesake of the current tour, debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200, the weekly ranking of the most consumed albums in the US. It was her sixth chart-topping album and produced two Hot 100 No. 1 singles: "We Can't Be Friends (Wait for Your Love)" and "Yes, And?"

Beyond music, Grande earned an Academy Award nomination for her role in the film adaptation of Wicked.

For fans, Frankie's message is the clearest signal that the hiatus is a personal decision supported by family rather than a response to any external pressure. With the tour running through 1 September, Ariana Grande still has nearly a month of dates ahead before she steps away.
