Harry Jowsey Says Producers Added Fake Sex Sounds to a Kissing Scene in Netflix's Let's Marry Harry

Harry Jowsey has claimed that producers on Netflix's reality dating show Let's Marry Harry added fake sex sounds to a scene that, according to him, involved nothing more than kissing.

In an Instagram Reel posted on 11 August 2026, Jowsey said the audio heard during a closet scene with contestant Dannelle Davidson in episode two was not real. "We were strictly making out," he said, adding that he did not know where the sounds came from or who was in the audio, "but it was certainly not us" (Instagram).

The contested moment takes place at the end of episode two. Jowsey and Davidson kiss on a bed before moving into a closet where, Jowsey said, there were no cameras — though both were still wearing microphones (The Hollywood Reporter). Entertainment Weekly reported that kissing sounds were audible in the broadcast version of the scene (Entertainment Weekly).

Netflix did not respond to The Hollywood Reporter's requests for comment on the audio claim (The Hollywood Reporter).

Let's Marry Harry premiered on Netflix on 5 August 2026, with episodes one through seven released together and a finale scheduled for 12 August (Netflix Tudum). The series follows 20 women competing to become Mrs. Harry Jowsey, with help from executive producer Alex Cooper — host of the podcast Call Her Daddy — and Jowsey's closest friends (The Hollywood Reporter; Netflix).

Jowsey has been candid about his on-set behaviour in the days since the premiere. In a Reel captioned "My throat is sore from kissing everyone," posted on 5 August, he acknowledged the volume of his romantic activity during filming (Instagram). Two days later, on 7 August, he said Cooper told him to stop kissing so many of the women because he was becoming overly active during production (Instagram).

The audio dispute draws an immediate comparison to an earlier era of reality television. The Hollywood Reporter noted the parallel with Fox's 2003 series Joe Millionaire, in which producers laid suggestive subtitles over audio of contestant Sarah Kozer — subtitles Kozer said misrepresented the moment (The Hollywood Reporter).

For now, the claim rests on Jowsey's account. Netflix has not confirmed or denied it, and no producer associated with the show has publicly addressed the allegation. The finale of Let's Marry Harry streams on 12 August 2026.
