Rihanna Brings Her Three Children to Rihanna Drive in Barbados During Crop Over 2026
Rihanna returned to the street renamed in her honour in Barbados this week, this time with her three children in tow. The singer and businesswoman shared an Instagram post on Tuesday, August 11, 2026, showing her and her kids — RZA, 4, Riot, 3, and Rocki, 10 months — on Rihanna Drive in the suburbs of Bridgetown, the capital city where she grew up (Billboard).
The caption captured the moment plainly. "One minute I feel like that kid from Westbury," she wrote, "the next minute I'm bringing my own kids back to 'Rihanna Drive'." She added: "Trippy how life works!" (Instagram).
Rihanna Drive was once Westbury New Road, the street in the Bridgetown suburbs where Rihanna — born Robyn Rihanna Fenty on February 20, 1988, in the parish of Saint Michael — spent her childhood. The road was renamed in 2017 in her honour. During this visit, she showed her children a commemorative plaque on the street bearing her name underneath a drawing of the sun (Billboard).
The visit came during Crop Over, Barbados's annual festival of music, arts, food and culture, which runs for roughly three months and culminates each August in Kadooment Day — a grand carnival parade through the streets of Bridgetown (National Cultural Foundation of Barbados). Rihanna has long made the pilgrimage home for the festival, and this year was no exception. Page Six reported that she appeared at the Grand Kadooment Day parade in a bejewelled carnival costume with an ornate headpiece and matching wings (Page Six).
The 38-year-old, who is founder of the cosmetics brand Fenty Beauty, shares her three children with partner A$AP Rocky. Photos from the Barbados trip, including ones of all three children together, were shared on Instagram — a relatively rare sight, as Rihanna has generally kept her children's images private (Billboard; Page Six).
What gives the visit its weight is the geography. Rihanna Drive is not a stage or a venue. It is the street where a girl from Westbury walked before the world knew her name, and it now carries it. Bringing RZA, Riot and Rocki to stand at that plaque places a private family moment on public ground that happens to be named for their mother — and she said as much herself.
