Amazon Prime's August 2026 Free Games Lineup Includes Steelrising, Spray Paint Simulator, and Nine Titles to Keep
Amazon Prime subscribers got nine free PC games to claim this August 2026 through Amazon Luna, the cloud gaming service that streams titles to devices people already own without lengthy downloads. The headline grabber is Steelrising, an action RPG set during the French Revolution where players control Aegis, a mechanical automaton built as the queen's bodyguard. It became claimable on August 13 via the Epic Games Store VGC.
The games roll out in weekly batches. Two were available immediately: Right and Down and Hiveswap Friendsim, both redeemable on GOG. August 13 brought three more — Pyramids and Aliens: Escape Room (GOG), Airship: Kingdoms Adrift (Epic Games Store), and Steelrising (Epic Games Store). August 20 adds Royal Romances: Forbidden Magic and Spray Paint Simulator, the latter through Amazon's own games launcher. The month wraps on August 27 with Havendock and Clash: Artifacts of Chaos VGC.
Each game is distributed as a code redeemable on storefronts like GOG, the Epic Games Store, or Amazon's games launcher. Once claimed, players keep access even if they cancel their Prime subscription — these are permanent additions to a personal library, not rentals that vanish.
Some leftovers from July are still on the table too. In Sound Mind, XCOM: Chimera Squad, and Framed Collection remained claimable into August but will start disappearing over the course of the month, so anyone who missed the July wave has a narrowing window.
Beyond the free-to-keep titles, Luna's Standard membership — included with Amazon Prime and offering more than 80 games to stream — added five new titles in August: Assassin's Creed Mirage, Assassin's Creed Valhalla, Bluey: The Videogame, Disney/Pixar Brave: The Video Game, and Disney/Pixar: WALL-E VGC. Those stream on Luna rather than being downloadable keeps, but they expand a library that already sits north of eighty titles.
For anyone already paying for Prime — whether for shipping, video, or music — the gaming perks stack at no extra cost. Nine games to keep, plus a streaming catalogue that just grew by five, and all of it folded into a subscription many households already carry.
