The Gilded Age Season 4 Wraps Production, Lines Up June Premiere on HBO
HBO's period drama The Gilded Age has wrapped production on its fourth season, with star Carrie Coon announcing the news on her Instagram story. The new season, comprising eight episodes, is expected to arrive in 2026, as hinted in a December HBO video promotion. According to HBO's official programming overview on its pressroom site, Season 4 debuts on 26 June (HBO Pressroom).
The show's core cast — including Coon, Morgan Spector, Louisa Jacobson, Denee Benton, Cynthia Nixon, Christine Baranski, Harry Richardson, Blake Ritson, Taissa Farmiga, and Audra McDonald — all return for the new run. All have been series regulars since the first season. Three performers who previously appeared in recurring capacities have been promoted to series regulars: Jordan Donica (Dr. William Kirkland), Ashlie Atkinson (Mamie Fish), and Kelley Curran, who plays Enid Winterton — formerly the maid Turner before her character's social climb. Jim Gaffigan, the stand-up comedian and actor, plays Grover Cleveland, the 22nd President of the United States. Dallas Roberts portrays Daniel Manning, who served as Secretary of the Treasury under Cleveland. Elizabeth Marvel plays Nurse Virginia Saville, a nurse at the Neighborhood Settlement House on Manhattan's Lower East Side. Andrew Burnap takes the role of Porter, a young man of Society — the show's term for New York's upper crust — with an Ivy League education and money to invest.
The Gilded Age, created by Julian Fellowes, has built its following on the friction between old-money families and new arrivals in 1880s New York. Season 4's additions suggest the story is widening its lens from drawing-room politics to the actual White House and the reformist settlements of the Lower East Side.
