Peacock Raises Prices for the Fourth Time in Four Years

NBCUniversal has raised Peacock's subscription prices across all plans — the fourth increase since the streaming service launched in July 2020. New and returning subscribers see the higher prices from 18 August 2026, while existing customers face them on or after 17 September 2026, depending on their billing date (Variety).
The changes touch every tier. Peacock Select, the most basic plan — which carries current and past seasons of NBC and Bravo shows but excludes movies, live sports and Peacock originals — goes from $7.99 to $8.99 a month. Peacock Premium, the ad-supported plan, rises from $10.99 to $12.99. Premium Plus, the top tier, climbs from $16.99 to $19.99, a $3 increase (Variety).
The annual pricing structure remains in place for Select and Premium, offered as 12 months for the price of 10. Select runs $89.99 a year; Premium lists at $129.99 a year (Peacock). Premium Plus sits at $199.99 annually (Peacock). A student discount is available at $5.99 a month for Premium with annual verification, after which the subscriber is charged the then-current retail price until cancellation (Peacock).
This is the fourth increase in as many years. Peacock most recently raised prices in July 2025, having done so in the two previous years as well (Variety). After that 2025 hike, Premium was priced at $109.99 a year and Premium Plus at $169.99 a year (Variety). Before that, in July 2023, existing Premium subscribers saw the price rise by $1 a month to $5.99 (The Hollywood Reporter).
What gives the latest increase an unusual edge is timing. Peacock turned its first-ever quarterly profit in Q2 2026 (Variety). Paid subscribers reached 48 million at the end of June 2026, up 2 million net additions during the quarter (Variety). A platform that has just crossed into profitability and added two million subscribers in a single quarter is nonetheless asking all of them to pay more.
For subscribers, the practical question is straightforward: check the billing date. Existing customers will see the new rate kick in on their next billing cycle on or after 17 September, while anyone signing up fresh or returning after a lapse pays the new prices from 18 August (Variety; Peacock).
For a service that launched just over six years ago, four price rises in four years is a brisk pace — and each one narrows the gap between Peacock's entry-level plan and its full-priced competitors.
