Norwegian King's Granddaughter Leah Isadora Behn Joins Skal vi danse
Leah Isadora Behn, the 21-year-old granddaughter of King Harald V of Norway, has signed up for the forthcoming series of Skal vi danse — the Norwegian edition of Strictly Come Dancing, part of the international Dancing with the Stars franchise. Royal Central
Behn announced the news on Instagram, sharing an official portrait of herself seated on a disco ball in a sleeveless baby-blue ballgown. The broadcaster TV 2, which airs the show, described her as "possibly the year's most sought-after and expected participant" and called the signing an obvious blockbuster for the new run. TV 2
She is the second daughter of Princess Märtha Louise — the king's elder child — and the late author Ari Behn, who died in 2019. Leah and her two sisters, Maud Angelica, 23, an artist, and Emma Tallulah, 17, a showjumper, carry no royal titles and are not working members of the Norwegian Royal Family. Royal Central
The Norwegian royal house operates on the same constitutional principle as its British counterpart: the monarch's adult children and grandchildren who hold titles carry out official duties on behalf of the crown, while those without titles lead private lives. Behn has been pursuing a career as a model and influencer, and last year appeared on Norway's edition of The Traitors.
Skal vi danse — which translates as "Shall We Dance?" — is already familiar territory for Behn. In December 2025 she performed a burlesque routine during the show in support of her friend Tale Torjussen, who went on to win that year's edition. A month earlier she was spotted cheering enthusiastically when another friend, Trygve Bennetsen, faced a dance-off. Now she is stepping across that line. In an interview with the Norwegian outlet KK, Behn said she believed she had two particular strengths she could draw on in the competition, though she did not specify what they were. KK
Her stepfather, the self-described spiritual guide Shaman Durek Verrett, who married Princess Märtha Louise in a three-day wedding ceremony in Norway in August 2024, congratulated her publicly, calling her his "beautiful bonus daughter."
