NCT 127 Bring Their Seoul Tour Kickoff to Global Cinemas on Sept. 20
NCT 127 will broadcast the finale of their fifth world tour's three-night kickoff show live to cinemas worldwide on September 20, giving fans who cannot reach Seoul a seat inside the venue. The in-theatre screenings cap a busy stretch for the group. Their seventh full-length album, BLINGY, arrives on August 24, four days before cinema tickets open to the public. The concerts themselves also form part of a yearlong celebration of the band's 10th anniversary.
For NCT 127, the tour marks a return to the stage after nearly two years away. Charter members TAEYONG and JAEHYUN rejoin the lineup after missing the band's previous tour while completing their compulsory South Korean military service, a requirement that applies to most able-bodied men in the country.
The Seoul kickoff runs across three nights — September 18, 19 and 20 — at the KSPO Dome. The September 18 show starts at 7:00 PM KST, with the September 20 finale set for 4:00 PM KST, according to the group's official channels. Trafalgar Releasing, a specialist distributor of event cinema — the practice of beaming live or pre-recorded concerts and stage shows into movie theatres — is handling the global cinema transmission. CEO Marc Allenby told Billboard it is the company's fourth project with the NCT brand and its first release centred specifically on NCT 127. Past collaborations with the broader NCT collective have established the demand; this one narrows the focus.
