Neil Young Shares Vintage 'Casting Me Away From You' as 'Second Song' Album Nears Release
Neil Young has shared a new version of "Casting Me Away From You" on the Neil Young Archives, paired with a vintage video of him driving across Broken Arrow Ranch in California. The song, which Young says he wrote in 1964 or 1965, is the latest piece of his catalogue to surface from the archives and onto the platform — the online repository where Young regularly posts unreleased recordings, alternate takes and archival footage for subscribers. The release arrives ahead of "Second Song," Young's upcoming studio album with the Chrome Hearts, scheduled for 18 September 2026 on Reprise Records. Young announced the album in early August.
