GTA 6 Leak Shows Nudist Colony as Rockstar's Parent Escalates Hunt for Leaker
A leaked clip from Grand Theft Auto 6 appearing to show a nudist colony in the game's Leonida setting has surfaced online — the eleventh gameplay snippet released by a leaker operating under the name "Cyberleek."
The footage, posted on 24 August, shows co-protagonist Jason exploring a large nudist resort at night, complete with a pool, hot tubs, cabins, RVs and outdoor social areas. Dozens of naked characters are seen lounging and dancing. Some react neutrally to Jason's presence. Others grow annoyed. One woman physically attacks him after he leers at her through binoculars (GameSpot).
Cyberleek reportedly ran a poll asking followers what to release next, and the so-called "Nudist Town" clip won the vote. It marks the eleventh GTA 6 gameplay clip attributed to the leaker (Instagram). Rockstar employees are reportedly frustrated by the situation, particularly as additional clips have surfaced showing Jason in a strip club (Metro).
The leaks have been arriving daily. A fourth video showing knife combat appeared on 21 August, marking a fourth consecutive day of unauthorised footage. The group reportedly responsible has also threatened Rockstar over an "all-digital future" — a reference to the industry's shift toward selling games without physical discs (IGN).
Rockstar's parent company, Take-Two Interactive, is not sitting still. The publisher is actively subpoenaing information to uncover the leaker's identity, including issuing subpoenas to Microsoft and Discord, according to GameSpot. Cyberleek remains unidentified and at large.
A former Rockstar technical director has reportedly downplayed the damage, saying the vast majority of players do not care about the leaked footage. The same former developer reportedly compared the situation unfavorably to the infamous "Hot Coffee" incident — a hidden sexual minigame found in 2004's Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas that triggered regulatory scrutiny and a product re-rating.
For Rockstar and Take-Two, the timing is uncomfortable but not catastrophic by that assessment. The first official look at GTA 6 gameplay was scheduled for 27 August, carried exclusively on Netflix. The game itself is slated to launch on 19 November for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S.
Eleven clips in, the leaker shows no sign of stopping. The nudist colony footage — voted into existence by an online poll — may be a sign of what comes next: not a slow trickle of secrets, but a feed shaped by whoever is watching.
