Bruce Springsteen Heads Stand Up for Heroes 2026 Lineup for 20th Anniversary Benefit
Bruce Springsteen will perform at Stand Up for Heroes 2026 on Nov. 9 at Lincoln Center in New York City, heading a lineup announced Tuesday, Aug. 25 that also includes Alex Warren and the musical group The Resilient.
The event — presented by the Bob Woodruff Foundation and produced in partnership with the New York Comedy Festival — marks its 20th anniversary edition this year. Comedy sets will come from Jon Stewart, Josh Johnson and Hasan Minhaj.
Since 2007, Stand Up for Heroes has raised $117 million for injured veterans, their families and caregivers, according to Billboard. The benefit has been held every year since its founding, bringing together thousands to honour the nation's heroes, the Bob Woodruff Foundation notes.
Springsteen's involvement is not new. He performed at the 18th annual Stand Up for Heroes alongside Jim Gaffigan, Norah Jones, Mark Normand, DJ Questlove, Patti Scialfa and Jerry Seinfeld, according to the Bob Woodruff Foundation. His return for the 20th anniversary places him among the event's most consistent headliners.
The 2026 New York Comedy Festival runs from Nov. 6 to Nov. 15, with Stand Up for Heroes falling midway through its programming. Lincoln Center serves as the venue for the anniversary benefit, which Billboard confirmed as part of Tuesday's announcement.
Warren, a singer-songwriter who built his audience through social media before signing to a label, joins the bill on the music side. The Resilient, a group whose name reflects its connection to veterans' advocacy, is also set to perform, per the Bob Woodruff Foundation.
For a benefit that has spent two decades pairing music with comedy to raise money for veterans' support, the 20th-anniversary lineup leans on familiar faces and fresh ones in equal measure. The cause remains the same: funding the long tail of service — the families, the caregivers, the recovery — long after the applause fades.
