Netflix Orders Korean Action-Noir 'The Shooter,' Starring Lee Jung-eun in Her First Action Role
Netflix has confirmed production on The Shooter (working title), an action-noir series starring Lee Jung-eun and Kim Moo-yul, with Lee Kwon directing from a script by Kim Hee-su. Studio Dragon produces the series for Netflix. (Variety)

The cast runs deep. Huh Joon-ho plays Jang Kwang-cheol, the former leader of the Heukseong Gang who rose to chair the Chunghwa Group. Choi Sung-eun is Shin Ji-hyun, who runs the conglomerate's China office and oversees Operations Unit 3. Bae Na-ra plays Cheon Tae-seok, who assists the chairman and runs Operations Unit 2. Seo Hyun-woo plays Yoo Il-koo, the Chunghwa Group outcast overseeing Operations Unit 4. Moon Jong-won rounds out the ensemble as Um Sang-pil, a bed-and-breakfast owner carrying a mysterious past. The Shooter marks Lee Jung-eun's first action role. Her previous film, My Daughter Is a Zombie, was one of South Korea's top-grossing films of 2025.
