Banijay Entertainment has confirmed Patrick Holland as Executive Chairman and CEO of Banijay UK, placing him at the head of a combined operation of roughly 40 production labels following the company's merger with All3Media (Deadline, 27 August 2026).

Holland held the same title at the pre-merger Banijay UK, so the announcement formalises his role over a much larger portfolio. The combined group now includes labels such as Studio Lambert, Initial and Neal Street Productions — names behind some of the most familiar shows on British television. He reports to Marco Bassetti, CEO of Banijay Entertainment (Deadline, 27 August 2026).

Bassetti said the company was "pleased to confirm Patrick as our onward UK lead" and that having local experts running regional portfolios was a strategic priority. A merged operation of this scale means one person now oversees a vast span of scripted, unscripted and entertainment production across the UK market (Deadline, 27 August 2026).

Holland joined Banijay UK in May 2022. His career before that reads as a tour of British broadcasting. He was Director of Factual, Arts & Classical Music at the BBC, a role he took on in April 2021, and before that he oversaw BBC Two — one of the corporation's principal television channels. Earlier still, he served as Managing Director of Boundless, a production company owned by Fremantle (Deadline, 27 August 2026).

At Banijay, Holland moved quickly to expand the group. About a year after arriving, he launched the Banijay UK Growth fund, a vehicle for acquisitions and investments. That fund led to deals for The Forge and Garrison Drama, bringing more scripted production capacity under the Banijay umbrella (Deadline, 27 August 2026). He also orchestrated Banijay UK's acquisition of Caryn Mandabach Productions in June 2024 (Banijay, 6 June 2024).

Industry attention around Holland's future had been building before this confirmation. In May 2025, he was linked in press reports to a senior BBC content role. Industry sources and BBC insiders indicated at the time that he was staying at Banijay (Deadline, 22 May 2025). This appointment settles the question: Holland's brief now covers the combined Banijay-All3Media UK operation.

For viewers, the practical impact sits behind the scenes. The labels under Holland's remit make the shows that end up on schedules — across the BBC, ITV, Channel 4 and the streaming platforms. How that talent base is organised, which labels grow and which projects get greenlit will shape what British audiences watch in the months and years ahead. The structure above those decisions now has a confirmed name at the top.
