King Bach Wraps Directorial Debut 'Tap Twice' in Los Angeles
Andrew Bachelor — better known to his more than 70 million social-media followers as King Bach — has wrapped production in Los Angeles on Tap Twice, an independent supernatural horror film that marks his first time directing a feature, according to Deadline.
Bachelor also stars in the film. The story follows a grieving couple who retreat to an isolated estate where the walls record every word spoken inside them, and a presence lurking there learns to speak in their voices. The premise pitches domestic grief against a haunted-house frame, with the recording walls functioning as both literal threat and metaphor.
The ensemble cast includes Chelsea Tavares, Joel McKinnon Miller, Carson Fagerbakke, Augusta Liv, Gillian Nation and Joe Massingill, per Deadline. Producers are Christina Bachelor, Andrew Bachelor, Ryan Lewis and Ilya Pozin, producing in association with Luna Media Company.
Bachelor has been building toward this step across multiple formats. He released his debut comedy special, Like, Share, And Comment, directed by Jo Koy, in June, and he has a slate of upcoming acting roles: Universal's Violent Night 2, Amazon MGM's Road House 2, the romantic comedy Goodbye Girl and the indie crime thriller Good in the Room. He is represented by Christina Bachelor, Artists First, CAA and Duncan Hedges of Hansen, Jacobson, Teller.
For a performer who built his audience in six-second clips, directing a feature-length horror film is a deliberate pivot into long-form storytelling. The Los Angeles shoot is complete; no release date has been announced.
