Temi Wilkey's Lover Girl Wins Four Stars at Edinburgh Fringe

Temi Wilkey's Edinburgh Fringe show Lover Girl has picked up a four-star review from WhatsOnStage, published on 28 August 2026. The hour-long show runs at Pleasance Courtyard Upstairs as part of the Edinburgh Festival Fringe, the world's largest arts festival, which takes over the Scottish capital every August.

Lover Girl is the middle entry in a planned triptych called Main Character, following Wilkey's 2024 Fringe debut Main Character Energy, which was reviewed at Summerhall (WhatsOnStage). Directed by Ragevan Vasan, the new show leans heavily into stand-up territory and explores Wilkey's singledom and bisexuality. The Pleasance's event page describes it as being about "seeking love in a hopeless place" and "everybody's right to pleasure," with Wilkey living through what she calls a "cost of loving crisis" (Pleasance).

The show is presented by Soho Theatre in association with Bobby Harding.
