Nottingham Forest sign Daniel Munoz from Crystal Palace for £22m

Nottingham Forest have completed the £22m signing of Colombia right-back Daniel Munoz from Crystal Palace, tying him to a three-year deal at the City Ground. BBC Sport

The 29-year-old arrives with serious Premier League pedigree. He spent two and a half years at Selhurst Park, scoring 11 goals in 109 appearances — a healthy return for a full-back, where his job is primarily to defend but also to overlap and supply crosses from the right flank. Forest's chief football officer, George Syrianos, pointed to that experience directly, telling BBC Sport that Munoz has "performed strongly in the Premier League and European competition." That phrase matters for a club that spent last season competing on the continent and wants to do so again.

This is Forest's second major statement of the transfer window. Earlier they broke their club record to sign striker Liam Delap for £50m, and the Munoz deal pushes their summer spending past £70m on just those two players alone.
