Panels with comparable refresh rates from other manufacturers could appear in the interim, and the GPU horsepower required to sustain 560 frames per second in modern titles at any resolution is non-trivial, even at 1080p.

What the AW2527HX ultimately enables is straightforward: the lowest-latency, highest-refresh-rate OLED panel Dell has shipped, built specifically for the segment of players who treat monitor response time as a competitive variable rather than a comfort metric.
