The game will be broadcast live on NBC. It will also be shown at the same time on Peacock in a simulcast, meaning the same NBC feed streams live on the platform.
Several live TV streaming services carry NBC and can be used to watch without cable. DirecTV and Fubo both offer a five-day free trial that covers the game, while Sling and Hulu + Live TV also carry NBC for live viewing.
Peacock itself does not offer its own free trial. Two complimentary months of Peacock are available with DirecTV Signature packages, as reported.
Both teams arrive at 1-0, ESPN reported ahead of the game. Iowa State opened its season with a 38-10 win over Southeast Missouri State on Sept. 5, according to its official schedule.
Iowa entered the week ranked No. 21. ESPN listed Iowa as the 14-point favourite in the opening line, meaning bookmakers favoured Iowa by 14 points. Against the spread, meaning bets settled on the margin of victory rather than the winner alone, Iowa was 1-0 and Iowa State was 0-1.
The setting is a full house. Kinnick Stadium has a listed capacity of 69,250, and Iowa’s official schedule lists the game as sold out, per Iowa Athletics.
