Leeds dominate 2026 Super League Dream Team with six names
Leeds Rhinos have taken over the 2026 Super League Dream Team. Six Rhinos were named in the 13-man team of the season, announced on 13 September 2026, to reward the best performers across the campaign. BBC Sport
The Leeds six are Lachie Miller at full-back, Maika Sivo on the wing, Ash Handley at centre, Jake Connor and Brodie Croft at half-back, and James McDonnell in the back row. In rugby league, which is played 13-a-side, the full-back is the last line of defence and a key kick-returner, while the half-backs are the organisers who steer the attack.
Connor and Croft will run the show together. That partnership matters. Half-backs decide when to kick for territory, when to pass wide and when to take on the line themselves.
The rest of the side is spread across five clubs. Leigh provide Umyla Hanley at centre and Joe Ofahengaue at prop, the big middle-unit carriers who drive the ball forward. Wigan are represented by Brad O'Neill and Zach Eckersley, while Wakefield's Caleb Hamlin-Uele joins Ofahengaue at prop.
Warrington's Ben Currie is named at loose forward, the pack player who links the forwards and the backs in defence and attack. Toulouse's Matthieu Jussaume is selected in the second row, the tall, hard-running edge forwards who do much of the tackling and carrying.
Jussaume's selection is a first. He is Toulouse Olympique's first Dream Team representative, a notable marker for the French club in Super League company. BBC Sport
Three players kept their places from last year. Connor, Hanley and McDonnell were all picked in 2025 and have backed it up again in 2026. The team was picked through a process involving journalists, fans and former players.
What makes this stand out is the balance. Leeds supply the spine of the team, with Miller, Connor and Croft in three central roles. Around them, Leigh, Wigan, Wakefield, Warrington and Toulouse all have a stake, which keeps it a true league-wide selection rather than a one-club parade.
