Ariana Grande Gets Stuck in Elevator After Final Eternal Sunshine Show

Ariana Grande ended her tour stuck in an elevator.
The singer posted more than a dozen photos on Instagram on Sept. 12 after closing her Eternal Sunshine Tour on Sept. 1 at the O2 Arena in London. Two of the pictures were taken inside a stalled lift, which she said held her just moments after the final show, according to Billboard.
One photo shows Grande and team member CJ Robinson trying to pry open the doors. She captioned it, “Stuck in an elevator moments after our final show.” She did not look worried. A second image shows her boyfriend Ricky Álvarez joining the effort to force the doors, captioned “Continued (i almost had it tbh).”
Robinson later added her own note in the comments. She wrote she “wouldn't want to be stuck in an elevator with anyone else xoxo.”
The tour was organised as a select run in support of Grande’s 2024 album Eternal Sunshine. It had been announced in August 2025. It opened on June 6 in Oakland, California, and travelled through Los Angeles, Atlanta, Chicago and Montreal before finishing with 10 shows at London’s O2 Arena.
Eternal Sunshine spent three weeks at No. 1 on the Billboard 200, the US album chart. That chart combines physical sales, downloads and streaming to rank the most-consumed albums in the country.
Grande has already moved on to new material. She released her eighth studio album, petal, in July, which debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200. In early September she surprise-released petal (The Complete Live Album), featuring live performances of all tracks from the studio album, according to Billboard.
For fans, the photo dump offered a relaxed coda after a busy stretch. In early August, Grande said she was taking “a step back” from public engagements amid ongoing public scrutiny. She also dropped out of the planned West End revival of Sunday in the Park With George, London’s major theatre district staging in which she was set to co-star.
