Finecut sells three K-pop films across Asia

Seoul-based sales agent Finecut has closed new cinema and streaming deals across Asia for three films led by members of Fifty Fifty, The Boyz and NCT, Variety reported on 15 September.
A sales agent sells a producer's film country by country. Here the buyers span Japan, Taiwan, Indonesia, Singapore, Hong Kong and Macao.
The widest push so far is behind "After-School Exorcism Club: Girls' Night." The film is directed by Jung Zoo and stars Fifty Fifty members Keena, Chanelle Moon, Yewon, Hana and Athena as five students, according to Variety. Finecut lists it as a 2026 comedy-horror title.
New deals take it to Catchplay+ in Indonesia, Shaw Organisation in Singapore and Cola Films in Taiwan. The film premiered at the Bucheon International Fantastic Film Festival before its South Korean cinema release. It opened in Singapore cinemas in mid-August.
The second title is "Wi-Fi Love in the Palace." It is based on the Kakao Page webtoon "Love and Wi-Fi in the Palace" and stars The Boyz member Younghoon alongside Luda and Kim Dong-jun.
It has been sold to KDDI Corporation in Japan, Catchplay+ in Indonesia and Cola Films in Taiwan, Variety reported. A local buyer of this kind acquires the right to release the film in its own market, in cinemas or on streaming.
The third title is "Wind Up: The Movie." It stars NCT members Jeno and Jaemin and has secured additional sales to Hong Kong and Macao through Emperor Cinemas.
All three projects stem from Kitz, the global content platform focused on K-pop and operated by TakeOne Company, according to Variety. Kitz builds film projects around active idol groups.
For fans, this means more chances to see these stories close to home. A sale does not set a release date by itself. It does decide which local company can put the film into theatres or onto a platform in each territory, which is the step that puts posters up and tickets on sale.
