Scaramucci turns 11 days in the White House into All the Wrong Moves
Eleven days in the White House gave Anthony Scaramucci material for a whole book.
Scaramucci, who served as Donald Trump's communications director in summer 2017, is the author of All the Wrong Moves. That job, the official in charge of White House messaging, lasted 11 days. The book is listed for publication on 17 September by Bodley Head, the London-based publisher named in the autumn listings The Guardian.
In the book, Scaramucci names three "catastrophic" errors in recent American economic management. They are favouring China during the globalisation era, waging wars after 11 September 2001 without tax rises to pay for them, and bailing out the banks The Guardian. The argument sits alongside his own account of those 11 days in Washington.
That account includes a personal cost. Scaramucci missed the birth of his son while he held the White House post. He has since described working for Trump as a huge mistake The Guardian.
The publication comes with a long roadshow. A UK tour was planned to accompany the book. In the United States, publisher Macmillan lists discussions of All the Wrong Moves with Scaramucci from 23 September to 30 September 2026.
Scaramucci has said he will discuss the book on tour with broadcaster Nicolle Wallace, journalist Katty Kay, economist Ken Rogoff and management professor Jeffrey Sonnenfeld. The format in Australia in December is a series of in-conversation talks, meaning on-stage interviews with a host rather than solo readings.
Every ticket for those Australian dates includes a copy of the book. The book itself was described by Scaramucci in early September as 30 days out from publishing, pointing to a September release window.
