Meghan confirms Pula the Labrador is in Britain in Harry birthday posts
Meghan, Duchess of Sussex, marked Prince Harry, Duke of Sussex's 42nd birthday with a set of Instagram posts that also settled a family question. The family's black Labrador, Pula, has moved with them to Britain.
The posts, shared on 15 September 2026, said the family had flown from Montecito, California, and were now marking their first few weeks back in Britain, according to HELLO!. Harry and Meghan are relocating to the UK for an extended period with their two children, Prince Archie, 7, and Princess Lilibet, 5.
Pula features throughout. In one clip she runs ahead of Harry and Meghan on a walk through the woods. In another she wags her tail and splashes through weeds on a fishing trip.
A third moment shows her trotting behind Harry, Archie and Lilibet as they ride a quad bike with a bag of M&S goodies on board. It is a small detail. It tells you this is home life, not a photocall.
Pula is no newcomer. Harry and Meghan adopted her in 2018, shortly before their wedding at Windsor Castle. She appeared alongside the couple's rescue beagle, Mamma Mia, in an at-home video Meghan shared on Instagram for her own 45th birthday in August, just weeks before the UK move.
Mamma Mia has not been shown in Britain so far. The couple's other rescue beagle, Guy, died in 2025. Their hens stayed in the United States, where staff are looking after them at the couple's $29 million Montecito mansion, which the family has kept as a US base.
The birthday tribute itself centred on the children. It included a photo of Harry kissing Lilibet and a video montage with pictures featuring both Archie and Lilibet, according to People. The family had last shared a burst of family photos during a Disneyland visit in May 2026, the month Archie turned seven.
Archie and Lilibet are now beginning the new school year in the UK. For fans, this means more glimpses of a very different routine: woodland walks, fishing trips and quad-bike rides with the dog in tow.
