Starz Networks Chief Alison Hoffman Extends Deal to 2029

Starz Networks President Alison Hoffman will stay in the job through the end of 2029 under a renewed contract.

The new employment agreement took effect on 6 August and runs through 31 December 2029. Parent company Starz Entertainment disclosed the deal in a filing to the US Securities and Exchange Commission, the regulator where listed companies must record major contracts. Deadline

Hoffman will continue to report to Starz Chief Executive Jeff Hirsch. Her annual base salary is $1.485 million, plus bonus and equity awards, meaning share-based pay tied to company performance.

Hoffman has led Starz Networks since August 2024. In that role she is responsible for content acquisitions, the deals to bring in series and films from outside suppliers. She is based in the company’s Santa Monica office. SEC filing

That slot matters. The networks chief decides what is bought, where it airs and how the schedule fits together. For a premium cable and streaming group built around a small number of scripted originals, those calls shape work for crews of hundreds and writers’ rooms waiting to know if a story continues.

For viewers, nothing changes on screen right now. The same leadership picks premieres, sets time slots and adds acquired titles around originals. Continuity at the top usually means steady programming rather than sudden shifts.

The new deal follows a long paper trail. Hoffman previously served as President of Domestic Networks of the Starz Business from February 2020 before stepping up to the Networks presidency. The parties signed an employment agreement dated 5 September 2024, following Amendment No. 2 dated 23 August 2024, and later amended the terms on 6 November 2025. An earlier agreement had taken effect on 27 February 2023.

The corporate name around those contracts also changed. Lions Gate Entertainment Corp. planned to change its name to Starz Entertainment Corp., the parent company that made the latest disclosure.
