Resident Evil Director Picks Christina Hendricks for Lady Dimitrescu
Zach Cregger wants Christina Hendricks to play Lady Dimitrescu if Resident Evil Village ever becomes a film.
The Resident Evil director named Hendricks when Pedestrian TV asked who should take the role in a hypothetical Village movie. He answered with her name, then added: "That feels about right to me." The exchange appeared in a YouTube Shorts video from the outlet. PEDESTRIAN.TV

Hendricks is best known as Joan Holloway on AMC's Mad Men, a role that earned her multiple Primetime Emmy nominations. She went on to star as Beth Boland on NBC's Good Girls.
Her voice work includes Gabby Gabby in Toy Story 4 and Cherie in the animated series Solar Opposites. She also has a games credit, playing Sam Harper in 2011's Need for Speed: The Run.
Lady Dimitrescu is the tall, imposing villain who became the breakout star of the game Resident Evil Village. In the game she is portrayed by actor Maggie Robertson. Robertson won Best Performance at The Game Awards, the industry's annual awards show, for the role.
That history is part of why the question carries weight with fans. Dimitrescu inspired a wave of fan art, cosplay and memes after Village was revealed, and Robertson's performance remains closely tied to the character.
Cregger's current film is a fresh start rather than a game adaptation. It does not feature any characters from the games, according to co-writer Shay Hatten, but it includes Easter eggs, or hidden references, and nods for long-time players.
