Los Angeles wants film fans to spend their holidays where films were made.

The Los Angeles Tourism & Convention Board has launched a movie-tourism video series titled 'Go Vacation on Location' in partnership with Expedia, according to Variety. Expedia serves as the official booking partner for set-jetting, the term for travel to places seen on screen. The announcement was reported on 16 September 2026.

The guides are the people who find the places. The series is hosted by working Hollywood location managers, the crew members who scout and secure real streets, buildings and beaches for shoots. L.A. Tourism partnered with members of the Location Managers Guild International to present the tours.

Tristan Daoussis leads the downtown leg. His tour moves through downtown Los Angeles and is anchored by the historic Millennium Biltmore Hotel. Daoussis is the location manager of 'La La Land' and 'Jumanji: Open World'.

Kelly Harris takes the beach route. Her segment looks at L.A.'s beaches on film and centres on the Venice boardwalk. Harris is the location manager of 'Bel-Air' and 'Melrose Place', according to Variety.

Scott Trimble covers the Valley. His segment explores the San Fernando Valley on film and starts at the Valley Relics Museum. Trimble is the location manager of 'Transformers' and 'Star Trek'.

Each stop is built for visitors to follow. The downtown walk links grand lobbies and city streets. The beach walk links sand, surf and boardwalk. The Valley trip links a local museum collection to nearby filming neighbourhoods.

Behind the camera, Black Buddha Media Group produced the videos under production head Herbie Wei. They were written and co-produced by Harry Medved and Harry Pallenberg, creators of the Emmy-nominated PBS SoCal series 'Locationland', according to Variety. Eileen Hanson is chief marketing officer at L.A. Tourism.

For fans, this means a simple pitch. Pick a film look you love. Then book the street, hotel or beach behind it.
