Atlético Madrid beat 10-man Real Madrid 2-1 in the Madrid derby on 20 September.

Álex Grimaldo and Jonathan David scored in the second half at the Metropolitano Stadium in Madrid. Antonio Rüdiger pulled one back late for Real, but Atlético held on The Guardian.
