Bonpoint turns Monet's Water Lilies into childrenswear with MoMA

Bonpoint, the French childrenswear house, has turned Claude Monet's "Water Lilies" into clothes for children.
The company teamed with the Museum of Modern Art (MoMA) in New York City on a capsule collection, a small limited range, celebrating the painting, according to WWD. The 16-piece range is sized for children aged 6 months to 14 years.
The line-up includes three designs for babies and seven ready-to-wear items for girls, alongside accessories. Ready-to-wear means clothes sold finished off the peg, rather than made to order.
The doll is included. The capsule features Bonpoint's Cherry Doll wearing a miniature version of the Duchess dress. It comes with a suitcase bag in matching colours.
Prices run from EUR 30 for a hairclip to EUR 365 for the smocked and hand-embroidered Duchess dress.
The range goes on sale on Oct. 5 exclusively on bonpoint.com and in a selection of Bonpoint boutiques worldwide. The U.S. launch follows on Oct. 9.
The project is Bonpoint's first collaboration with a museum. It lands just after the house presents its main seasonal work. Bonpoint is scheduled to unveil its spring 2027 collection on Oct. 3 during Paris Fashion Week, the twice-yearly showcase of new collections.
What makes this stand out is the fit. Museum ranges often stop at souvenirs and prints. Here the artwork is cut to baby and child sizes, with prices set at both ends of the gift market.
