Dior, the French luxury house, will present its resort 2028 collection in Shanghai on May 14, 2027. Creative director Jonathan Anderson will lead the show. It will be his first major event in Asia for Dior. WWD

A resort collection, also called cruise, is a between-seasons range shown outside the four main fashion weeks in New York, London, Milan and Paris. These collections are designed to arrive in shops between the main spring and winter deliveries. Dior has not yet named a venue in Shanghai. The May 14, 2027 date puts almost a full year between Anderson's Los Angeles debut in the cruise calendar and his second turn in it.

Before Shanghai, Anderson has two European dates. He will present his spring 2026 women's ready-to-wear collection in Paris on Sept. 29. Ready-to-wear means factory-made clothes sold in standard sizes, as distinct from made-to-measure couture. Dior will then hold a pre-fall show in Dublin on Dec. 4. Pre-fall is another between-seasons range, delivered to shops in late autumn. That Dublin show will be the house's first show in Ireland.

Anderson presented his first Dior cruise collection in Los Angeles in May. Harper's Bazaar The show was staged at LACMA in Los Angeles. W Magazine It was livestreamed from Los Angeles at 4:15am UK time. That start time meant British viewers watched live before dawn. Miley Cyrus sat in the front row. Al Pacino was also in the front-row audience. Harper's Bazaar

Shanghai knows Dior. Founder Christian Dior named a key look Shanghai in his spring 1948 haute couture show. Haute couture is hand-made, made-to-measure clothing shown in Paris under strict rules. John Galliano, Dior's creative director from 1996 to 2011, presented a Dior cruise show in Shanghai in 2010. Dior later staged its pre-fall 2021 runway show at the Long Museum in Shanghai. The 2028 date will return the house to a city it has used before.

For fans, this means a clear run. Paris in September. Dublin in December. Then Shanghai next May. Three cities. Three different calendars. One designer threading them together. If Los Angeles is a guide, expect a late-night livestream and a front row that mixes music and film.
