Malcolm Gladwell to publish The American Way of Killing on 29 September
Malcolm Gladwell will publish his next book on 29 September, a study of gun violence in the United States.
The book is called The American Way of Killing: The Invention of an Epidemic. The Guardian's autumn preview lists Abacus as its publisher and gives 29 September as its publication date in Britain.
Gladwell grew up in Canada. He is the author of The Tipping Point, Blink and Outliers, according to The Guardian.
The new book addresses the nation's gun violence epidemic. Its publisher description says it argues for looking in unexpected places to understand America's problem of lethal violence, as reported by Pushkin.
The reporting draws on a wide set of interviews. Those interviewed include doctors, sociologists, former police chiefs, criminologists, public health specialists, historians, psychologists, legal scholars and surgeons.
