Rebel Wolves will add an even easier way to play The Blood of Dawnwalker in early October.

Game director Konrad Tomaszkiewicz told Eurogamer the studio plans a large patch for that window. It will introduce an additional difficulty level below the current options. The setting changes how hard enemies hit and how forgiving fights feel.

The new, easiest option will take the name Story mode. The existing Story mode will be renamed to make room for it. Demanding is one possible new name cited for the current setting.

Combat behaviour is also in line for changes. The patch will adjust targeting, which controls which enemy the character locks onto, and camera work during fights. Running away should help more. Tomaszkiewicz said escaping battles by sprinting off will become easier.

One specific quirk will change too. Players had noticed the game switching targets automatically after using a stun-like move, an attack that briefly freezes enemies in place to control a crowd. That switch was deliberate, not a bug. It will be altered in the newest patch after player feedback.

Looking further ahead, the studio is exploring a New Game Plus mode. That is an option, common in role-playing games, that lets players restart the story while keeping character strength and equipment. Tomaszkiewicz said Rebel Wolves may also add new enemies to improve variety.

For fans, this means a clearer choice. Play for the story with less resistance, or keep the tougher fights as they are.
