Prince Harry says Archie and Lilibet run home viewing on Minions
Prince Harry, Duke of Sussex, says television at home with Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet means one thing: Minions.
He described his family's viewing habits on Monday, September 21, while meeting young winners at the 2026 WellChild Awards at the Royal Lancaster Hotel in London, according to HELLO!. Harry is Patron of WellChild, the charity that supports seriously ill children and their families. The awards, held in association with GSK, celebrate the achievements of seriously ill children and those who care for them.
WellChild had announced on September 10 that Harry would attend the ceremony on September 21. It was his annual appearance at the event. His wife, Meghan, Duchess of Sussex, did not join him in London, according to PEOPLE.
The Minions conversation came with Will Messer, aged 10, who won Inspirational Child 7-11. Harry told Will that Archie and Lilibet love watching Minions, the small yellow characters from the Despicable Me films. Every time the children want to watch something, it is Minions.
Harry added his own verdict. He is obsessed with Minions, but not as much as his kids. Asked about his own taste, he told HELLO! that Gladiator is pretty special.
There was laughter as well. Will brought a Funko Pop! figure made in Harry's likeness. A Funko Pop! is a small collectable figure with an oversized head. The pair shared a joke over the doll, according to PEOPLE.
Harry also spoke during the evening about a tricky morning with Archie and Lili before school. He said it had led into an important conversation about WellChild, according to Yahoo's account of the night. It was not the first time he has described family life on a WellChild visit. On July 9, he visited Birmingham Children's Hospital to meet seriously ill children and families supported by WellChild Nurses, specialist nurses funded to care for children at home. During that visit he said Archie was obsessed with Lego.
