Apple Music is opening its own live venue in London. Apple Music Hall will sit inside Battersea Power Station, where Apple has its London headquarters, with room for 600 people across standing and seated areas, Billboard reported on 22 September 2026.

The room is built for small crowds and full-scale production. It centres on a 38-foot-wide stage that can be set up for a standard front-facing show or for in-the-round performance, with the audience on all sides.

Sound is a large part of the plan. The hall will have a 48-speaker spatial sound system. Spatial Audio is an immersive format that places instruments and voices around the listener rather than in left and right channels alone.

The building will also work as a recording centre. Apple Music said the venue will include two recording and mix studios built to professional standards. It will be wired for 16 or more cameras linked to a purpose-built broadcast control room.

That setup will let artists record a show in Spatial Audio in a broadcast-ready mix while capturing multi-camera video at the same time. In practice, a live set can leave the room as a finished audio and video release without a separate studio session.

Apple Music Radio will also move in. Its London-based hosts and shows will broadcast live from the hall at Battersea, giving the station a permanent live base alongside its studio output.

The venue builds on Apple's existing footprint in the building. Apple took occupancy of part of Battersea Power Station in 2022, taking 500,000 square feet for its London-based employees. Its retail store, Apple Battersea, opened in the historic power station in June 2023, Apple said at the time.

Music has been part of that site from the start. To mark the store opening, Apple Music organised live performances outside the shop from Thursday through Sunday with local artists JGrrey and Kwaye. More recently, Mumford & Sons played at Apple Battersea in London as part of Apple's 50th anniversary, Apple said. The wider anniversary programme featured artists including Alicia Keys and Paul McCartney.

For fans, this means a 600-cap room with the wiring of a television studio. Expect intimate shows designed to travel fast, from radio broadcasts to live recordings.
