William Shatner to Join Star Trek Panel at New York Comic Con

William Shatner is joining the Star Trek panel at New York Comic Con for a special conversation.
The hour-long panel is scheduled for 10 Oct from 3:15-4:15 p.m. ET on the Empire Stage, according to Variety. It will also carry a sneak preview of Star Trek: Starfleet Academy Season 2. The event takes place at the Javits Center in New York City, according to Yahoo.
The Starfleet Academy line-up includes cast members Holly Hunter, Sandro Rosta, Bella Shepard, Karim Diané and Robert Picardo. They will be joined by Alex Kurtzman and Noga Landau, the co-showrunners, meaning the two people who lead the series day to day, who are also executive producers.
Starfleet Academy is a Paramount+ Original series. Season 2 is slated to debut in 2027, and it will be the show's final season.
The panel lands in Star Trek's 60th anniversary year in 2026. Shatner played Capt. James T. Kirk in Star Trek: The Original Series for three seasons and in Star Trek: The Animated Series for two seasons.
There is change elsewhere in the franchise too. Star Trek: Strange New Worlds will end with its fifth season.
For fans, this means one stage with past and future together. An original captain looks back on 60 years. A new crew of cadets points to where the next chapter closes.
