Fuerza Regida took “Por Esos Ojos” to daytime television on Thursday, Sept. 24, performing the single on The Jennifer Hudson Show and sitting down for a chat about stadiums, awards and taking Mexican music worldwide.

Frontman Jesus Ortiz Paz led the compliments. “We want to be just like you,” he told Hudson, referring to her EGOT status. He then jokingly asked her to “put me on.” The rest of the group joined in with “We all want to be like you,” and Hudson answered that they were “well on their way,” according to Billboard.

EGOT is shorthand for winning an Emmy, a Grammy, an Oscar and a Tony, the four major US entertainment awards. Hudson is one of the few performers to collect all four.

The performance track has chart history behind it. “Por Esos Ojos” peaked at No. 64 on the Billboard Hot 100, the US all-genre singles chart, and at No. 3 on Hot Latin Songs, Billboard’s ranking of Latin singles. The group’s album 111XPANTIA debuted at No. 2 on the Billboard 200, the US albums chart that converts streams and sales into album units.

Ortiz Paz also talked numbers from the road. He said the band’s first US stadium tour played nine stadiums for more than 350,000 people. The second leg of the This Is Our Dream Tour was set to begin with two sold-out dates in the Chicago area.

“Our Mexican genre is going global,” he told Hudson. That run has included some unexpected guests. Hip-hop acts 50 Cent, Bobby Shmurda and YG, along with Tejano singer Bobby Pulido, have all joined Fuerza Regida on stage.

For fans, this means more chances to see the group talk at length. Fuerza Regida will headline a Superstar Q&A and take part in En Vivo programming at Billboard Latin Music Week 2026, organised for Oct. 19-22 at Faena Forum in Miami Beach, Fla. Tickets for the week are on sale now, according to Billboard.

The Miami programme keeps growing. Spanish pop singer Ana Mena is among the newly announced participants for Latin Music Week 2026, according to Billboard. Fuerza Regida are also a finalist for Artist of the Year at the 2026 Billboard Latin Music Awards, according to Billboard.

Thursday’s television episode was a shared bill. Alongside Fuerza Regida, it featured Jasmine Guy, Cree Summer and Chibuikem Uche from the A Different World reboot, according to The Jennifer Hudson Show.
