Dylan Gossett released his second album, Ramblin', on Sept. 25 on Big Loud Texas / Mercury Records. The 12-track collection follows his self-written and self-produced debut album Westward, which arrived in 2025.

The release caps a fast rise for the Texas singer and songwriter. His breakthrough song “Coal” became his first Billboard Hot 100 hit in early 2024, according to Billboard. The track has since been certified double platinum by the Recording Industry Association of America, a sales measure covering two million units in the United States.

Gossett previewed Ramblin' with two songs, “Clothesline” and “Loving You Like That”. The full album is rooted in Red Dirt country, the guitar-led songwriting sound associated with Texas and Oklahoma, alongside Americana and folk storytelling, according to his official store listings.

The turnaround was tight. Gossett told Billboard that “Running From the Sun” and “Snow Melt” were written before Westward, while “The Old Me” and “Loving You Like That” were created two weeks before he had to submit Ramblin'.

Place runs through the record. Gossett, a Texas A&M graduate, has stayed in Texas rather than moving to Nashville, the centre of the country music industry. He told Billboard that “Honeysuckle” looks at his family and home values in Texas.

Fatherhood is another thread. Ramblin' includes “My Boy”, about his journey into becoming a parent. His son was born earlier this year, ahead of the album’s September release.

The physical rollout is organised through his official store. Options listed include a Ramblin' Oak Tree Green Vinyl for $29.99, a Texas Sunset Red Signed Vinyl for $34.99 and a Signed CD for $18.88, with prices in US dollars.

What makes this stand out is the timeline. For fans, this means a second album arriving about a year after the first, with songs pulled from different writing periods, from older material held over from before Westward to tracks finished close to the deadline.
