Lena Dunham Joins Channel 4 Drama 'It Gets Worse' as First Images Land

Lena Dunham will guest-star as Greta in It Gets Worse, the new Channel 4 drama made with US studio A24.
First-look images featuring Dunham have now been released, giving viewers an early glimpse of the series ahead of its festival debut, according to Variety.
The show was written and created by comedian Leo Reich. He also leads the cast as Ethan.
Reich stars alongside Emily Fairn as Abi and Olive Gray as Sam. The three form the central trio.
The wider ensemble includes Amelia Dimoldenberg as Emily, Blake Harrison as Roger, Vicki Pepperdine as Sarah and Clayton Pettet as Freddy. Author Zadie Smith serves as narrator.
It Gets Worse is set to premiere at the BFI London Film Festival next month. The festival is an annual showcase in London. A television premiere there puts the show in front of audiences before its Channel 4 broadcast.
Behind the camera, the series was commissioned — ordered and funded — by Channel 4's head of comedy Charlie Perkins. Sam Pinnell is producer. Mounia Akl directs, with Matthew Lewis as director of photography, the person in charge of the look of each shot.
For fans, this means names and faces are now in place. The first images confirm Dunham's role, the main cast is set, and the next stop is London in October.
