Queen Elizabeth II's 2016 Bentley Mulsanne will go under the hammer on October 14.

Broad Arrow Auctions is selling the car. Bidding is expected to reach €400,000 to €450,000 ($456,084 to $513,095), according to Town & Country. The car is listed in the auction house's Global Icons: Zoute Online 2026 sale, according to Broad Arrow Auctions.

The car is a Mulsanne Extended Wheelbase. That is a longer version of Bentley's large sedan, built for extra legroom in the back seat. The company made just two of them for the queen. This one is described as the only example she used that later entered private ownership.

It was first registered in October 2016. It remained in active royal service until 2019. It now shows about 6,000 miles on the odometer. A private collector acquired it in March 2024.

That collector showed it quickly. In 2024 it won the Bentley Drivers Club Trophy at the Concours of Elegance at Hampton Court Palace. The Concours is a judged show for historic cars. Hampton Court is a former royal residence west of London that now hosts public events.

The custom work focused on daily use. Bentley replaced the front center armrests with a tray sized to fit the queen's Launer London handbag. Launer made the structured top-handle bags she carried for decades. The tray was removed when the car was taken out of royal service.

A second royal mark was also removed. The walnut interior panels once held an inlaid Royal Coat of Arms, the lion-and-unicorn emblem of the British monarch. The inlay was taken out at the request of the Royal Mews. The Mews is the Buckingham Palace department that houses and maintains royal cars and horse-drawn carriages.

What makes this stand out is the human scale. A car built for official duties still made room for a handbag. Low miles help, and so does a show trophy. But the pull here is simpler: a working vehicle from a long reign, with the badges gone and the story intact.
