South Korean President Lee Jae-myung joined about 60,000 fans for Stray Kids' STRAYCITY concert at GNP Seguros Stadium in Mexico City on Friday, Sept. 25. The attendance figure was reported by promoter Ocesa, the company that staged the show, and organisers said the date was the group's largest concert in Mexico to date. Billboard

Lee attended with first lady Kim Hye-kyung. Mexico's Secretary of Culture, Claudia Curiel de Icaza, was also in the audience with 10 children from vulnerable communities who were given tickets to the show, placing officials from both countries in the same crowd as the group's fans.

Stray Kids are scheduled to play the same stadium again on Saturday, Sept. 26. That second night is set to officially close their Latin American tour, a four-date run staged under the STRAYCITY name. Billboard

Friday's bill included opening sets from Nexz, a South Korean-Japanese band, plus Mexican singers Renee and Andrés Obregón. The headline date marked a return to GNP Seguros Stadium, 17 months after Stray Kids made their Mexico debut at the same venue, a relatively quick step up from first appearance to two nights at scale.

Lee later posted video from the performance on X. He described the concert as commemorating the Korea-Mexico summit, linking the stadium show to official meetings taking place during his visit to the country.

The concert followed questions about a separate appearance in the capital. Mexico's president explained Stray Kids' absence from a National Palace visit she had confirmed after the group did not appear. Billboard

The group's fans are known as STAY. Billboard They filled the floor and stands in Mexico City for night one, and the city is hosting two nights to end the Latin American leg. The four-date trek has put the group in front of stadium-sized crowds across the region.

The Mexico dates continue a run of large-scale touring for the eight-member group. Their 2025 run was their first full stadium run of gigs, following their second world tour, the 2022-2023 MANIAC tour. That history helps explain the size of the current staging, with support acts, a two-night stand and a production built for a full stadium.

What makes this stand out is the guest list. A sitting president does not often attend a tour date while travelling abroad. In Mexico City, the concert worked on two levels at once, a tour finale for fans and a cultural stop during a diplomatic visit.
