Evil Dead Burn will make its global streaming debut exclusively on HBO Max on October 2.

The date was reported by Deadline. The film will then air on HBO, the traditional cable channel, on October 3 at 8 p.m. ET.

That one-two rollout is a standard release window, meaning a film moves from cinemas to a home platform first, then to its sister channel. In this case, HBO Max gets the exclusive streaming launch. No other subscription streamer will carry it at launch.

The film is directed by Sébastien Vaniček. He wrote the script with Florent Bernard.

It was produced by Rob Tapert and Sam Raimi. It is a New Line Cinema and Warner Bros. Pictures film, according to Warner Bros. Discovery.

The cast is led by Souheila Yacoub. She is joined by Tandi Wright, Hunter Doohan, Luciane Buchanan, Erroll Shand and Maude Davey.

Evil Dead Burn opened in US theatres on July 10. Its move to HBO Max comes less than three months later.

For fans, this means a short wait is over. Anyone with HBO Max can watch from October 2. Cable viewers get it the next night.

The franchise is not stopping there. A follow-up, Evil Dead Wrath from Francis Galluppi, is set for 2028.
