Bohannon's unbeaten 190 holds Durham as champions finish unbeaten

Durham closed out an unbeaten Division Two title season with a draw against Lancashire at Emirates Old Trafford on 27 September.
Bad light and rain cut the final day short. The sides shook hands at 15:45 with Lancashire on 397-6 in reply to Durham's 493, after only 38 overs were possible BBC Sport.
It was a fittingly stubborn end to a long campaign. Durham had already sealed the title with two rounds to spare, and finished 47 points clear of Kent. They took 13 points from this game to Lancashire's 11, and ended the season without losing a single Championship match BBC Sport.
Durham had won the toss and chosen to bat in the four-day match, played from 24 to 27 September. They made 493 all out, built around Gay's 141. Lancashire spinner Ali kept his side in it with 6-166, a six-wicket haul earned through long spells.
Lancashire resumed the final day on 267-5, still 226 behind. A draw — in cricket, when time runs out before either side can force a win — always looked likely. The weather made it certain.
Josh Bohannon made sure Lancashire finished with pride intact. He ended 190 not out, meaning he was still batting when play stopped. It was a patient, grown-up innings. He reached 150 for the seventh time in his Lancashire career, off 321 balls.
He found good support. Ben Walkden made a career-best 36 and shared 83 for the sixth wicket with Bohannon. Then George Balderson helped add an unbroken 66 for the seventh wicket. Durham's Parkinson took 4-92 and kept asking questions, but the pitch offered little late help.
For fans, this means two very different seasons ended at the same ground. Durham go up as champions, unbeaten and well clear. Lancashire finish second-bottom on 114 points, 17 ahead of Gloucestershire and 36 behind sixth-placed Derbyshire.
No late drama. No collapse. Just a final-day bat, rain on the covers, and a champion side that could not be beaten.
