Team Europe won the Laver Cup 2026, beating Team World 13-5 at the O2 Arena in London.

Alexander Zverev sealed it on Sunday, 27 September 2026, with a 7-6 (3), 6-3 win over Learner Tien. That one result closed the whole weekend, which ran from 25 to 27 September, according to The Guardian.

Europe started the final day leading 7-5. Sunday matches were each worth three points. The Laver Cup is a first-to-13 points race, so Europe needed only two wins from the four matches on offer, according to LaverCup.com.

The first came quickly. Jakub Mensik and Flavio Cobolli beat Alex de Minaur and Taylor Fritz 7-5, 6-3 in the doubles. That put Europe 10-5 ahead. One more win would finish it.

Zverev delivered it. He took a tight first set in a tiebreak, the short race to seven points that settles a set at 6-6, winning it 7-3. He then pulled away in the second set for 6-3. Job done.

It was personal redemption. Zverev had lost an earlier singles match to De Minaur after holding match point, a chance to win the match on the spot. He did not let Tien get close enough for that kind of twist.

Saturday had set up the charge. Carlos Alcaraz beat Fritz 6-3, 4-6, 13-11 after saving two match points. The decider was a match tiebreak, played first to 10 points instead of a full third set. Casper Ruud and Zverev also beat Alexander Bublik and Brandon Nakashima in Saturday doubles for two crucial points, according to ATP Tour. Team World stayed in touch through wins including Tien over Cobolli, according to ATP Tour.

On the benches, Yannick Noah captained Team Europe. Andre Agassi captained Team World, completing his second stint in the role.

What makes this stand out is how Europe used the format. After Alcaraz survived by the width of a line on Saturday, the doubles pairs struck twice. Zverev then played clean, first-strike tennis when it mattered. Two days of pressure, settled in one afternoon.
