Ireland strike three times in 11 minutes to beat Israel

The Republic of Ireland beat Israel 3-0 in Debrecen, Hungary, on 27 September for their first win of the Nations League Group B3 campaign BBC Sport.
The Nations League is UEFA's biennial competition for national teams, played in leagues with promotion and relegation. Ireland went into this game as the nominal home side, with the fixture staged in Debrecen.
It was over as a contest in 11 first-half minutes. Ireland scored three times before the half-hour and never looked back.
Troy Parrott started it in the 14th minute. James Abankwah cut the ball back and Parrott finished for his 12th international goal to make it 1-0.
Two minutes later it was 2-0. Jack Moylan played Adam Idah through and Idah beat goalkeeper Daniel Peretz. Then Moylan got one of his own in the 25th minute to make it 3-0. It was his first competitive international goal.
Israel pushed back but found Caoimhin Kelleher in firm form. The Ireland goalkeeper kept a clean sheet, saving efforts from Anan Khalaili, Dor Peretz and Eliel Peretz.
Idah almost added a second after the break. His effort was turned around the post by Daniel Peretz.
There were no handshakes before kick-off. Ireland's players bowed their heads during the Israeli national anthem.
The result was a sharp response for manager Heimir Hallgrimsson. Ireland had lost in Kosovo three days earlier.
What makes this stand out is the speed of it. Three chances, three goals, the game settled before many supporters had settled in their seats. For fans, this means a first group win and a lift before a quick turnaround.
Ireland are next scheduled to face Austria in Dublin on Thursday. Israel are next scheduled to face Kosovo in Debrecen BBC Sport.
