Dominic Sessa to Lead Weston Razooli's Jewel-Heist Film Shades of Paradise

Dominic Sessa will headline Shades of Paradise, the new film from writer-director Weston Razooli that recently wrapped filming in Spain, Deadline reported on 28 September 2026.
The story follows four small-time criminals thrown into an odyssey of violence and betrayal after a jewel heist. The cameras have stopped. Post-production comes next.
Sessa leads a large ensemble. The co-stars are Jack Dylan Grazer, Naira Lleo, Najwa Nimri, Rojuu, Zack Harrod, Teru Castilla Serrano, Romann Berrux, Rhys Mitchell and Stanislav Baretsky, according to the same report.
The production shot on 2-perf 35mm film, with Simone D'Arcangelo as cinematographer. The format is a widescreen way of shooting on celluloid that uses less film stock per frame, and it gives the image a visible grain that digital cameras do not produce.
Andrew Morrison of Kaplan Morrison produced the film. Razooli wrote as well as directed, keeping full control of script and set.
Razooli arrived with festival pedigree. His debut feature, Riddle of Fire, premiered in Directors' Fortnight, the Cannes sidebar devoted to bold new voices, in 2023 and later played in Midnight Madness, the late-night genre slot at the Toronto International Film Festival.
For fans, this means a change of scale and setting. A jewel heist, a Spanish shoot and a celluloid look point to a rough, sunlit crime story led by one of Hollywood's fastest-rising young actors and a director known for working outside the studio system.
