First look: Skylar Astin and Sarah Hyland take over Cabaret in the West End
New production photographs show Skylar Astin and Sarah Hyland on stage in Cabaret at the Kit Kat Club in London.
Astin plays the Emcee, the club's compere, and Hyland plays Sally Bowles. Both performers are making their West End debuts, according to details published on 29 September. WhatsOnStage
The images, credited to photographer Marc Brenner, are the first full look at the pair in costume in the production. A first-look video of the two performers has also been released. BroadwayWorld
The dates are short. Astin is set to give his final performance on 12 December 2026. Hyland continues in the role until 23 January 2027.
They are joined by Baker Mukasa as Clifford Bradshaw, Ruthie Henshall as Fraulein Schneider, Robert Hands as Herr Schultz and Ronan Burns as Ernst Ludwig.
Rebecca Frecknall's production opened in November 2021. It has now passed 1,900 performances, making it the longest-running production of Cabaret in West End history.
The company will mark that run with a celebratory performance on 20 November. A limited allocation of specially priced tickets will be released for that date.
For fans, this means a familiar show with new faces at its centre. Cabaret recasts its leads regularly, and each pairing changes the balance on stage.

Stageside Table Seats, closest to the action, start from £200. Stageside Dining costs £85 per person plus the ticket price for evening performances and must be booked in pairs in stall rows A-B and AA-BB. The Cocktail Experience costs £65 per person plus the ticket price.
